Black money holders can efficiently be punished by streamlining the laws and enforcing them correctly. Often Governments plan to lure the black money holders to join the mainstream by providing an amnesty scheme wherein they need to pay a fraction as income tax and enjoy the rest legally. As of now there is no signal to the black money holders that accumulating of black money is not a good option. This can be achieved in the following ways:

Non-disclosure of pending criminal cases at the time of filing nomination paper can cost an elected member his seat as per the Supreme Court ruling. Concealment or suppression of criminal cases tantamount to "fraud" with electorate and it creates an impediment in the free exercise of electoral right. The ruling has further said that disclosure of criminal antecedents of a candidate, especially pertaining to heinous or serious offence or offences relating to corruption or moral turpitude at the time of filing of nomination paper, is a "categorical imperative". Concealment or suppression of this nature deprives the voters to make an informed and advised choice as a consequence of which it would come within the compartment of direct or indirect interference or attempt to interfere with the free exercise of the right to vote by the electorate, on the part of the candidate. |

Its already written on the wall. AAP has received a sweeping victory by winning 67 seats in Delhi Legislative Assembly leaving only 3 seats to BJP. Those who have written off AAP after 2014 parliament elections need to think off again, and should see difference between regional and national political stages. |

The Supreme Court directed the central government on 12th January 2015 to enable e-voting by NRIs within eight weeks. After amendment of the relevant laws, Non Resident Indians (NRIs) will soon be able to cast their vote from abroad, without having to fly back to their hometown during elections. In e-voting, a blank postal ballot paper is emailed to the voter, who has to then fill it and mail it by post to their constituency. There is very little risk of manipulation, rigging or violation of secrecy in this system, against the doubts raised by some of the policy makers earlier. |

The Planning Commission, established by shri Jawaharlal Nehru then prime minister of India, 65 years ago to formulate Five-Year Plans, has been criticised for being a Socialist era vestige, which became irrelevant in a more globalised and market-focussed economy as of now. NITI Aayog has been set up "to provide a critical directional and strategic input into the development process". It will act as a "think-tank" and advise the Centre and states on policy matters. The Aayog seeks to end "slow and tardy implementation of policy, by fostering better Inter-Ministry coordination and better Centre-State coordination". NITI Aayog is going to focus on co-operative federalism. The term co-operative federalism denotes a two-way relationship between the Centre and state governments in matters related to economic policy and development. NITI Aayog is expected to "help evolve a shared vision of national development priorities", in keeping with the spirit of such a federal structure. Readmore-Firstpost |

It is the Horn in vehicles in Bangalore. If you happen to travel in the city, you will notice the drivers use horn not only to alert other drivers but also for demonstrating the mighty presence of successful men (also women), getting a priority to cross the road or overtaking without waiting for a second, and also for giving a signal of "touch me not" otherwise you will have it. How much is the noise pollution? Not yet heard. |

I would like to support on-line interaction with politicians in the social websites. It would be very useful for both as this will enable closeness with each other and people will be able to communicate their problems and grievances directly to thier own representative. However, steps needs to be taken for avoiding misuse and irresponsible behaviour. |
